Privacy: keep private prompts out of your budget
How ModelBudgetCalc handles numeric scenarios, browser-only calculations, share fragments and infrastructure requests.
The calculator is designed for numeric planning inputs, not prompt text, API keys or account credentials. Calculations run in your browser. The calculator application does not submit those inputs to an inference service or save them in an application database.
Sharing scenarios
Scenario sharing uses the URL fragment, the part after the hash symbol. Browsers do not normally send that fragment in the HTTP request to the hosting server. However, anyone who receives the full shared URL can read its scenario, and your browser may retain it in history. A browser extension with relevant access may also see page content. Do not put secrets into a shared link or assume that a fragment makes it private to you.
Hosting and external links
Serving a website involves network requests. Hosting and network services may process technical information such as an IP address, requested path, browser information and request time. Browser-only calculation does not mean that visiting a website is anonymous. This page does not promise an infrastructure retention period that has not been verified.
Official-source links lead to other websites with their own policies. The calculator does not need advertising or analytics to function.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics stays off until you choose “Allow analytics.” After consent, it uses analytics cookies and receives connection and device information, a registered page address without query parameters or fragments, and fixed events for page views and successful calculator, share and credit-runway actions. Google may also generate session and engagement events. We do not supply prompts, API keys, model choices, token counts or budget amounts. This is not anonymous browsing. See Google’s privacy policy.
Your analytics choice is stored in this browser under mbc.analytics.v1. Use “Privacy settings” in the footer to change it. Turning analytics off removes this site’s accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded script. If browser storage is blocked, a choice may apply only to the current page. Clearing browser data also clears saved preferences. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are not enabled by this implementation.
Optional display advertising
An Adsterra 300×250 banner is offered below the main content. It loads only when you explicitly choose to show the advertisement, independently of your analytics choice. Loading an advertisement sends network/device information to the advertising provider and its delivery partners and may involve cookies. The ad is isolated from calculator inputs in a sandboxed frame, with no automatic navigation permission for the main page. We do not supply your scenario values to the ad. See Adsterra’s privacy policy. Close the advertisement to remove the frame; third-party cookies, if any, can be managed in your browser settings. No popunder, social-bar or adult format was enabled for this site.
